Established in June 2007, CollegeZapps is a subsidiary of Efficient Forms, LLC, a provider of forms automation solutions. In September 2007, CollegeZapps launched a solution for college-bound students facing the competitive, lengthy and burdensome college application process. The need for this type of service was realized when one of our co-founder's children was going through the college application process. He knew he had the technology available to help improve the application experience for students.

The foundation for the CollegeZapps product is the iForms Product Suite™, a paperless transaction design based on soft-coded logical interviews where data is mapped to designated forms and transmitted, as appropriate, through a multi-party workflow. CollegeZapps maintains the exclusive rights to the iForms Product Suite in the college application market.

Basically, CollegeZapps uses an online interview to collect the necessary student data and then auto-populates applications to the student's schools of choice. The applications are filled out in the preferred format of each school's admissions specifications. Students are able to save their progress and return at any time to add or remove schools from their list, make updates or edits, and then print applications. We never share or sell their information.

The truth is, when a student applies to and (ultimately) gets accepted into more colleges, the amount of financial aid options available to that student dramatically increases. Our solution is not only centered around helping students, but also their families. We offer a service called ZappTrack -- where parents are able to stay in the loop on their student's progress through the application cycle and students are kept on-track without Mom and Dad nagging them to work on their applications. Parents log on to our site and for only $25 they are able to set up a pre-paid account for their child. The student then has unlimited access to print applications to the schools of their choice. Applications are usually $5 each, so this program allows a huge savings for students who plan to apply to many schools. Counselors and experts around the nation suggest students apply to 10 or more schools and our service can help relieve some of the stress involved with taking on such a daunting task.
