University of Louisiana at Lafayette Parent Guide
Welcome from Student Affairs
Dear Parents,
I sincerely welcome you to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. UL Lafayette regards your family as an integral part of the University community, and we are eager to acquaint you with the many programs, services, and opportunities which exist at UL Lafayette. The opportunities in Student Affairs range from extracurricular activities like Recreational Sports and Greek Affairs to essential services like those provided by Student Health Center and Career Services. We are eager to assist your son or daughter in utilizing these services that Student Affairs has to offer.
Your son or daughter is beginning a phase of development that will lead to intellectual, physical, and emotional growth. In the next few years, the changing nature of their lives will certainly have an impact on you and your family. This Parent Handbook has been developed to provide you with a wealth of information that will help you during this time of transition. The Handbook is a terrific resource and I encourage you to review and keep it as a reference guide.
Should you need additional information or have any questions, my office is ready and willing to assist you. Student Affairs is here to answer any questions you might have and to help you resolve any problem you may face. We promise to listen and offer our assistance. Please do not hesitate to contact me at (337) 482-6266 or at pratt@louisiana.edu with any concern, question, or matter in which you need assistance.
Again, I welcome you to our campus and we will do everything possible to assist your son or daughter in contributing to a successful and fulfilling experience at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
