The Flames Pass is Liberty's campus ID card. It provides access to meal plans, facilities and activities campus wide. The Flames Pass allows students to carry money in a safe, secure format that is easy to use through Flames Cash, a declining balance account.

Flames Cash can be spent at all Liberty Dining locations and the Barnes & Noble Bookstore on campus, as well as any participating off-campus merchant. The Flames Pass is valid as long as the student is currently enrolled and financially checked-in and students are required to have a Flames Pass in their possession whenever they are on campus.

Higher One is the banking partner that disburses refunds on behalf of the university. A Higher One card is mailed to every Liberty student via the mailing address on file through ASIST approximately three weeks prior to arriving on campus. Financial Check-In must be completed before the Higher One card goes into production as all financial aid refunds are issued through the students Higher One account. Students must activate the card online for refund selection preference.

REFUNDS There are two refund preferences to choose from:

  • OneAccount: An FDIC insured checking bank account that offers a MasterCard DEBIT feature. Refunds are deposited into the OneAccount within one banking day from the date released by the university. There are four Higher One ATMs on campus for fee-free withdrawals. Card Services is located inside Green Hall, just down the hall from the Post Office, and is open Mon.-Fri., 8 a.m.-5 p.m. (closed during Convocation).
  • ACH Transfer: Electronic deposit of the refund directly into your personal U.S. bank account. Refunds are deposited within 2-3 banking days from the date released by the university. Activation of the card does not automatically open an account unless the Easy Refund option is selected and a deposit is made into the OneAccount.
