University College Academic Advising Center

Posted in

The University College Advising Center is designed to serve as the centralized location for academic advising for students who have not yet been admitted to a degree-granting school. This centralized location provides students with a constant contact that will provide academic information, mentoring, and a smile. In addition to being well-trained in the basic information about all degree programs at IUPUI, academic advisors in University College have special knowledge of issues related to the transition to college. In many cases, the University College advisor works with students on study skills, test taking, decision-making, and career exploration.

The University College Advising Center staff includes professional advisors and graduate assistants. About half of the advisors work full-time in Taylor Hall at the Advising Center while the others hold joint appointments with another IUPUI school. The joint advisors make sure we are well-informed about all majors at IUPUI.
