Summer will bring a flurry of activity and the to-do lists will continue to grow as you and your student eye the beginning of the school year. Here are some friendly reminders!

HEALTH SERVICES

Medical Records

All incoming students must comply with the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia's immunization requirements. It is highly recommended that students complete the immunization requirements before the first day of class. Satisfying the immunization requirements will prevent a registration hold from being placed on a student's account. For more information on health and medical requirements, visit the Georgia Tech health website.

Insurance Cards

All students must bring their health insurance cards to all visits. Referral appointments cannot be made without proper insurance information. For questions about insurance, call (404) 894-0633.

EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY - STUDENT COMPUTER OWNERSHIP

All incoming students are required to own laptops that can be carried to class. Barnes & Noble @ Georgia Tech provides educational discounts to students purchasing hardware, software, and peripherals as well as trained personnel who can assist with technological needs. The Department of Housing provides comprehensive support to residents of the on-campus residence halls through ResNet. Residential Technology Advisors (RTAs) provide telephone and onsite technical support to residents. Georgia Tech's Office of Information Technology (OIT) Support Center is available for questions about hardware configurations and can help troubleshoot software applications.

HOUSING

(404) 894-2470

The Department of Housing coordinates the administration, assignment, and activities of all on-campus residence halls. All new students receive housing information with the notification of acceptance sent by the Office of Undergraduate Admission. All housing information (room sizes, rates, building type, policies, etc.) is available online or by calling. We encourage parents to visit the housing website prior to your student's arrival for move-in. This site contains important information on dates and deadlines as well as safety and security.
