Parents Stay Involved Through the UCR Parents Association! It’s not always easy to stay involved with your children’s lives when they go off to college. Since 1988, the UCR Parents Association has helped parents stay informed about their students’ undergraduate experience and provided opportunities for them to get involved on campus.

Your free membership entitles you to:

  • Attend quarterly meetings, where you’ll hear from administrators, staff, and faculty about what’s happening on campus.
  • VIP invitations to special campus events.
  • Volunteer opportunities at campus activities, such as orientation and commencement.
  • The opportunity to earn points, which you can use to get special seating at campus events.

Parent of the Year Award

The UCR Parents Association invites students to nominate a parent or guardian who has been an inspiration to them or others. Learn more about the nomination process and submission deadlines!

Earn Points

For every quarterly meeting you attend and campus event you volunteer at, we’ll award you “Participation Points.” Earn enough and you’ll be invited to sit in the coveted “Chancellor’s Reserved Seating” section at Commencement!
