Position Title: Sales Associate

Reports to: Director of Sales

Position Summary:
Provide local businesses the opportunity to reach college parents. Associate will sell advertising space in University Parent Media platforms online and in print to businesses that provide lodging, dining, attractions, banking services, real estate services and other student services to college parents.

Essential Job Duties:

• Generate advertising sales in print and e-media sales
• Conduct market research and development market leads
• Determine top prospects in various markets
• Conduct heavy phone contact with current and potential customers (80 to 100 calls per day)
• Prepare and mail media kits to current and potential customers
• Document sales activities and achievements in CRM (Salesforce)
• Close sales to meet or exceed defined individual sales goal

Education and Training:

• College degree or equivalent training and/or experience; first-hand knowledge traditional higher education environment preferred
• Sales and/or customer service experience preferred

Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills and experience
• Phone sales and sales presentation skills preferred

Working Environment:

• Typical office environment; fun Boulder location
• Compensation: Base + Commission
