Important Steps for Your Transition to Campus

September through May

Experience an Individualized Campus Visit

Prospective students interested being a “student for the day” at Saint Peter’s can schedule an individualized visit appointment. You can visit a class and have lunch with a current student in addition to taking a campus tour and speaking with an admission counselor. We also offer overnight stays on a limited basis.

Our student visit coordinator will customize your experience based on your areas of interest, so please call to schedule your visit at least one week in advance. Contact our main office at (201) 761-7100 or our Admission Concierge at (201) 761-7103. We will be happy to find a visit opportunity, date and time which work for your family!

March 1

Priority deadline to submit your FAFSA

New student financial aid packages for FAFSA forms submitted in January will begin arriving in the mail in March. Submit your FAFSA as soon as possible for priority aid consideration. Students enrolling for the spring semester receive their financial aid packages on a rolling basis throughout the winter, depending on when their FAFSA is submitted and they are accepted to Saint Peter’s College.

May 1

Fall Semester Deposit Deadline for Colleges Nationwide

To secure your place in the entering class, you can submit your enrollment deposit by mail, in-person, or by calling (201) 761-7100. We recommend submitting your enrollment and housing deposit as soon as possible so that you can have the full benefit of a housing placement, guaranteed for all first-year students. Transfer and spring enrollment students should contact the Admission Office to inquire about housing options and deposit deadlines.

May through August

Placement Testing

Incoming students take our computer-based placement tests at one of many convenient dates, May through August,  prior to their orientation session. Students who have been selected to be part of the Honors Program have their placement testing requirement waived. Students enrolling for the spring semester will take placement testing, if necessary, in January.

July and August

New Student Experience

First Year Orientation Sessions

Your three-day (Tuesday – Thursday) orientation session kicks off your Saint Peter’s student experience! Orientation takes place at four convenient times this summer. You will meet many of your new classmates (and soon-to-be friends!), interact with current SPC student leaders, and stay overnight on campus, all while learning about the resources and tips that will make your first year a successful one.

Call (201) 761-6034 after May 1 for further information on your orientation session or visit First Year Experience. Transfer student one-day orientations take place in July/August and January (for spring semester enrollment).
