Dear Visiting Families,

Having two daughters myself, I know first-hand how relieving it is to end the challenging college search process.  However, I also know that one set of answers leads to another set of questions—What will our financial aid package look like?  Where can my child get a bite to eat if she misses dinner?  To whom can we turn for help?

This guide is uniquely designed to help in familiarizing you with all of the resources available to students and families, both on and off our campus. You have heard our promise before: “Education. One Student at a Time.”  Now, find out how we’ll deliver that promise to your child.

With only about 2,000 full-time undergraduate students and a student to faculty ratio of 13 to 1, Saint Peter’s College can ensure that the Jesuit tradition of cura personalis, or educating the whole person, can be upheld. Our students receive the personal attention, encouragement, and dedication of our faculty that they need to graduate on time and go out into the world a “man or woman for others.”

Don’t let our small size fool you!  Saint Peter’s College has a full range of academic and co-curricular programs, as well as stellar amenities including a top-notch recreation center and library. And although we’re small in size, we’re big on location—at the heart of a thriving metropolis and just minutes away from all that New York City has to offer.

Your child has chosen to join a student body that embraces diversity and wants to learn to live in the real world. Saint Ignatius of Loyola knew that the body, mind and spirit could be uniquely nourished in educational institutions. At Saint Peter’s College, a Jesuit college in a nurturing, urban environment, the opportunities for personal growth are endless.

As a parent or family member, you’ve helped your son or daughter arrive at this dynamic moment in their lives. We are eager to become part of this educational journey, and hope to assist you all in any way possible, both during your visit and in the years to come.

Warm regards,

Eugene J. Cornacchia, Ph.D.
President, Saint Peter’s College
