Student Leadership

Posted in

The Office of Student Leadership has started off the semester with a few major events in the month of February which has made for a busy start to the spring semester. The first event welcomed hundreds of current high school students for Liberty's College For A Weekend, or CFAW. OSL is very involved as these students stay in the dorms, participate in a hall meeting, attend Convocation and interact with students and leadership teams while they're here. RAs, SLDs, and PLs are very involved in making this an exciting and positive experience for the CFAWs. OSL holds a student leadership interest meeting on the Saturday of CFAW to provide a forum for the weekenders to learn more about becoming involved in student leadership if they come to Liberty. The session is lead by two RAs.

In addition to CFAW, Missions Emphasis Week at Liberty had much involvement from our Spiritual Life Directors. They were responsible for meeting with and organizing mission representatives to come and speak on residence halls. Leadership teams also met with their representatives for lunch and were involved with the Children of The World concert during that week.

The most consuming event taking place in OSL has been RA and SLD selection process. By the end of February and into the beginning of March, the RA team will be selected and placed for the upcoming school year. SLD selection will be in full swing the first week in March.
