Room Selection 2010

As the spring semester hits the halfway mark, the University begins to plan for Summer and Fall semesters. The Department of Housing and Residential Life is no exception.

During March 1-5, current residents can sign their 2010-2011 housing contracts. This process is online through a student's My FAU site. If your student does not currently live on campus, they can apply for housing by stopping by our office with a $200 deposit and signed contract.

On March 16, if a student:

  • signed a 2010-2011 housing contract
  • has no holds on their account
  • wants to stay in their same, exact room - can select their room on "Squatters" day.

March 17, all other residents who signed their 2010-2011 contract will receive their lottery number and instructions on how to proceed. We anticipate the next phase to begin on March 18 and continue until 850 residents have selected a bed.

Brochures and emails have been sent to all current residents since early February. Please check with your son or daughter to make sure that they have a housing plan for next year.

If students are currently living off campus or planning to move off campus - encourage them to stop by the Off Campus Housing Fair, Thursday, April 8th in the Breezeway.
