It’s all about community

Residence Life at Rockford College is dedicated to building strong residential communities. Living in our residence halls at Rockford College is so much more than just a place to sleep at night! Rockford College offers eight different undergraduate residence halls that provide residents with the opportunity to connect with other students, get involved in campus organizations, and build strong academic foundations.

Benefits of Living on Campus

Living in our residence halls promotes involvement in other campus organizations. Many of our students are connected to other campus departments and organizations such as Athletics, Student Activities, Student Government Association, the Jane Addams Center for Civic Engagement, the theatre department, and much more! Having engaged residents as neighbors or roommates makes it easier to build relationships at Rockford College.

Still not sure that living in the residence halls is for you? Check out what our current residents say about living on campus:

  • “Living in the residence halls is extremely convenient for attending classes. The people are great and respectable. The residence halls promote independence and allow you to get involved on campus.” —Senior, Chicago, Ill.
  • “Living in the Rockford College residence halls made my transition into college life a little bit easier. Being so far away from home, I came to RC without knowing anyone, and living in the residence halls made it easier for me to get to know people and feel like I was included. All the activities on campus are ‘easy access’ for me to be able to jump in and be involved. I have never felt overcrowded and I get along with all of the housing staff; they are always willing to helping me out if there is ever a problem.” —Junior, Las Vegas, Nev.
