Welcome to Azusa, California!

Hello and welcome to Azusa, California. It’s my pleasure to welcome you to our city. Cities like Azusa are going to be the models that will show that open government, community policing, smart growth, affordable and dependable utilities, and fiscal responsibility can work. Our everyday challenge is to produce results that make the lives of our residents better. 

Located just east of Pasadena, California, Azusa is a California community that is undergoing tremendous growth. The city is currently experiencing a Downtown renaissance, which will include new shops, mass transit, cafes, and cultural centers alongside a walkable residential community. 

Azusa residents also enjoy incredible recreational opportunities such as hiking, biking, fishing and Off-Roading in the San Gabriel Mountains, the San Gabriel River and an impressive municipal parks and recreation system. With 1,250 amazing new homes due on-line and a booming economy, Azusa offers an unparalleled quality of life!

Economic Development

Azusa is in the midst of a Downtown renaissance that will give our residents and visitors modern pedestrian-friendly living and working spaces, and breathe new life into our diverse economy.  Retail will soon be booming in Downtown, and in all sectors of Azusa, where businesses benefit from low utility costs.

Parks and Recreation

Azusa is located in the picturesque San Gabriel Valley, a renowned landscape of beautiful trails and scenic vistas that is a favorite of outdoor lovers.  Azusa residents can enjoy a number of activities as a result of our outstanding location, which include great hiking and biking in the San Gabriel Valley, San Gabriel Canyon, and San Gabriel Mountains.

There is an abundance of unique recreational features to enjoy, such as Fish Canyon Park, the Azusa Bike Trail, and the famed Bridge to Nowhere. In addition, Azusa offers one of the area’s most comprehensive regional sports programs for youth and adults.

The City of Azusa Parks Division maintains 52 acres of pristine parkland for youth and adults, and offers numerous city sports leagues and after-school sports programs for children. The city also hosts exciting events such as the Concerts in the Park series, held every summer at beautiful Memorial Park.
