In the midst of maintaining a delicate balance between an academic and social life, college students sometimes put their health on the backburner. Recognizing the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle, Mason promotes an annual Health and Fitness Expo to encourage students to implement various techniques to make healthy choices.

On Thursday, March 29th between 9 am and 5 pm, George Mason University's Fairfax campus will be hosting the 16th annual Health and Fitness Expo in Dewberry Hall, Johnson Center.

Always a crowd pleaser, the George Mason University Health and Fitness Expo draws hundreds of eager students, faculty, and staff from all campuses. The vibrating atmosphere of this event offers a dynamic experience for all involved. Trained professionals provide group fitness demonstrations such as Zumba, healthy cooking instruction and competitions, as well as personal safety tips. Advice will be offered to enhance student's mindfulness of their health and suggest ways to manage everyday stressors of college life.

Vendors from the community will be providing a plethora of free food and merchandise including t-shirts, healthy food, safety information and products, cholesterol screening, blood pressure screening, and much more!

If you would like additional information on how you can encourage your student to stay mentally, physically and emotionally healthy, please check out one of our many resources on campus dedicated to this cause:
