The UCO Career Services counseling staff meets with students Mondays-Fridays through scheduled appointments and during non-appointment/walk-in hours on specific days. To learn current walk-in counseling hours, please call or visit online.
Counselors advise current and former students on issues such as selecting majors, identifying careers related to majors, writing resumes, and searching for internships and jobs. Four assessments help students understand themselves better and assist them in choosing majors or careers to pursue.
Those seeking internship or full-time employment opportunities will find the Hire Bronchos web site especially helpful. It is a database from which students may conduct internship and job searches, resumes are electronically referred upon employers’ requests, and interviews are scheduled when recruiters come to campus.
UCO Career Services also hosts Fall and Spring Career & Internship Fairs, Grad & Professional School Fair, Career Quest: Discover Your Major Fair and Teacher Job Fair.
