The Department of Housing and Residence Life is a fundamental component of student's collegiate experience and we are committed to providing a qualified and diverse staff dedicated to the university mission.
Our staff aims to foster a welcoming environment where individual differences are shared and explored.
The Department of Housing and Residence Life has staff available 24 hours a day to assist your needs. Each floor in a residence hall or building in the apartment areas is staffed with a Resident Assistant (RA). Get to know your RA! RAs are available to answer questions, help with roommate concerns, plan programs, and enforce policies. The Department of Housing and Residence Life has designed several special interest communities to complement the students' UCF academic experience. These partnerships were designed to create living-learning environments outside of the classroom.
Each community has a duty line that is answered 24 hours a day. From midnight to 8 a.m., the Resident Hall and Apartment Patrol (RHAPs) will help students who are locked out or need assistance.
