Here are some important dates you'll want to make sure your student is aware of. Updates or changes to the calendar will be at registrar.ua.edu.

January 11, 2012 - Classes begin
January 16, 2012 - Holiday; University closed
January 19, 2012 - Last day to register or add a course; last day to drop a course without a W
March 9-16, 2012 - Spring holiday; University closed
March 21, 2012 - Last day to drop a course with a a grade of a W
April 27, 2012 - Classes end
April 30-May 4, 2012 - Final Exams
