Go, Plan! Go!

Though campus events cover meal plans and services, there remain some misconceptions and unanswered questions about plan flexibility.

Working a Tight Schedule with Ease
A student's life is crazy busy whether they live on campus or commute. With a meal plan, it's easy to eat on campus, get great food at almost any time - and still conserve Flex $. For example, some students have meetings that keep them from getting to Brough, the NW Quad or Pomfret before they close. In that instance, students can use a meal for Late Night (Meal Equivalency) at the Union or Meal Trade at The Hill at Maple Hill.

If class schedules make lunchtime a tight squeeze, students can Flex$ a quick slice of Papa John's pizza or a Quiznos item. Located at Brough Commons, these eateries are centrally located on a convenient glide path.

Commuter students without enough time to go home between midday classes, may want to Flex their lunch in the Union and then head upstairs to the 6th floor Off Campus Connections Lounge. It's a great place to study or catch a little down time.

Variety
A meal plan gives students access to incredible foods everyday. Here are some tips and little known facts to experience the range of tastes available:

  • Meals on a plan may be eaten in ANY dining hall. In fact, each of the three locations has a different chef. So, no two will be serving the same menu on any day. For more variety, eat in all three during the week. Mix it up!
  • Survey all of the serving stations before you make your final selection.
  • Take a "new food" challenge at least once a week. Try a small amount of an item you've never had. Be adventurous. You may find a new favorite.
  • Take advantage of wok and pasta toss stations. Give the server something from the salad bar to toss in your meal.
  • Email or talk to a Director or Managing chef in any location with a special menu request.
