A family that has experienced a major change in their financial status since filing a FAFSA may submit a formal letter of appeal supporting the special circumstance.

Consideration of any of the following circumstances will be evaluated:

• Loss of income or benefits/unemployment
• Family death
• Unusually high medical or dental expenses
