University of Colorado at Boulder Parent Guide
Transportation and Lodging Around CU
Q: Can you give me any tips about lodging?
A:There are numerous hotels and motels in Boulder proper. However, they do fill up, so don’t wait to make your reservations!
If you plan to rent a car you might also look at staying in Louisville, Broomfield, Westminster, or Longmont. Rooms in these cities may be a bit less expensive than in Boulder.
Q: I plan to take my CU student out for a good meal during the weekend. Do you have any recommendations?
A: Boulder is known for its excellent restaurants offering a wide variety of cuisines. The best place to get a complete run-down of what’s available is the Boulder Convention and Visitors Bureau website.
Q: Can I catch an RTD bus from the airport to Boulder?
A: Yes, Route AB goes from DIA to Boulder (the bus stops at several locations in Boulder, including the CU campus). The price is $12 per person.
Catch the AB bus at Denver International Airport on Level 5, at Island 5, outside Door 506 or 510 on the west side of the terminal and on Level 5, at Island 5, outside Door 507 or 511 on the east side of the terminal.
