The CU Parents Association (CUPA) provides the conduit for parents to find meaningful, energizing, and enjoyable opportunities to become a vital part of the CU-Boulder family.

Here are a few examples:

  • You can become a CU-Boulder admissions volunteer in your area, representing the university at local college fairs and admissions events.
  • You can volunteer at CUPA-sponsored events and functions on campus like Family Weekend, freshman orientation, and new student welcome/move-in.  When you join CUPA mark your application indicating that you are interested in volunteering for CU-Boulder.
  • You can volunteer to host, organize or support a CU-Boulder event for prospective or current students and parents in your geographic area.  Regular events include summer send offs.
  • You can join the CU Parents Association Board, a dedicated group of parents who volunteer to support a variety of programs and events that enrich the student experience at a higher level at CU-Boulder.
  • You can nominate a faculty or staff member for the Marinus Smith Award or a student for the CU Proud Award to show your support of continued excellence at CU-Boulder.
  • You can support the CU Parent Fund through donations to programs of your choice
  • You can join the Forever Buffs Network as a Parent of an Alumni of CU-Boulder (PLUM) and continue to support the university in the company of alumni and friends.

To find out more about any of these volunteer opportunities or just how you can be involved as a CU-Boulder parent, please join the CU Parents Association (CUPA)  and mark you application that you are interested in volunteering. You can also contact the Office of Parent Relations.
