The Partnership for Civic Engagement integrates public work into academic scholarship to promote the common good and cultivate social responsibility in our student body. By forging strategic, long-term partnerships between the college and its local, national, and international communities, we develop large-scale collaborative projects that provide students with a continuum of opportunities, facilitating leadership development and preparing students to be active citizens.

Opportunities are available for students with the Community-Engaged Leadership Certificate, volunteer and work-study positions in K-12 schools through Public Achievement, training and support for community organizing, the Living Learning Community Program in Mathias Hall, and connecting to community-based learning courses, among many others.
