Application Information

When to Apply

Because CSU, Chico is a popular campus, we strongly recommend that you apply during the initial filing period to ensure we save a space for you until we can determine your eligibility. The application filing periods are as follows:

Fall Semester- October 1 – November 30
Spring Semester- August 1 – 31

How to Apply

Our preference is for you to apply online. It’s quick and easy, and it also expedites the processing of your application! We do, however, still accept paper applications if you are unable to apply via the Internet.  You can download a PDF version of the application at our Web site or you can contact the Office of Admissions via e-mail or call directly at (800) 542-4426.

What to Send

Once you apply, be sure to follow up by sending the necessary documents for an admission decision.

Freshmen: Send SAT or ACT test scores (completed by December prior to enrollment)

Upper Division Transfers: Send official transcripts from each college you’ve attended.

If we are accepting applications, Lower Division Transfers: Send SAT or ACT test scores, official high school transcript, and official transcripts from each college you’ve attended.
