Helping Your Son or Daughter Have a Successful Start to the Year

Posted in

The start of the academic year comes with a lot of emotion. Some students feel overwhelmed with academics. Others might feel alone as they try to meet new people. Most students are trying to find their niche on campus and that can be difficult to do. As a parent you can help by directing your child to the resources on campus. When you talk with your son or daughter and you hear their concerns, try to remember some of the following resources, and after you have given your advice, refer them to these offices or programs. More information is available at the links or in the online version of the Dominican University Parent Guide.
