Spring Tuition Information

Spring tuition bills were mailed in mid-December. If you did not receive a bill please contact the Student Accounts Office at 708-524-6487 or review your bill on-line by logging into the MyDU system. Go to Students, My Student Account and Generate Course and Fee Statement.

FAFSA Completion Workshop

Staff members from the admission and financial aid office will assist parents and/or students through the process of completing the FAFSA online (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) on Saturday, February 20, 2010. We will be offering the workshops in Spanish, Polish and English. Check in will begin at 9:45 am with the formal program starting promptly at 10:00 am.

Men's Soccer Makes it to the NCAA Championship

The 2009 NCAA Division III Championship run came to a close for the Dominican University men's soccer team on Friday, December 4 with a 1-0 loss to Calvin College in San Antonio, Texas, in the national semifinal round. The Stars season closes with a 19-2-3 overall record.

The lone goal of the game came in the 78th minute of play as Calvin's Brad Hethius beat Dominican's Maxwell Gutbrod (Slinger, Wis.) who fell to 8-1-1 on the season in goal for the Stars, surrendering just his fourth goal against in over 1,030 minutes in goal for the Stars.

Wellness Center: H1N1 Updates and Other Wellness Resources

Parents should urge students to get vaccinated against the H1N1 flu and the seasonal flu. Flu season will likely extend through spring, as it did last year.
 
H1N1 vaccinations are available at the Wellness Center. The vaccinations are free for all students, staff and faculty.  Please call us at 708.524.6229 for an appointment. We urge students to take advantage of this vaccination to avoid flu during the worst of flu season - January-March.

Career Fest and Teacher Fest Job Fairs

Career Development is now accepting student pre-registration for both the CareerFest and TeacherFest job fairs.  Students who pre-register for these events receive a discounted admission rate of $10 (vs. $20 for non pre-registered students).  The CareerFest job fair, held off-campus on Friday, February 5, 2010, brings together students and alumni with recruiters in business, government and the non-profit sector seeking to fill a variety of full time and internship opportunities.  For students seeking employment in education, the TeacherFest job fair, held off-campus on Thursday, February 18, 2010 connects quality teacher candidates with school districts throughout the state of Illinois.  Students can pre-register in the Academic Enrichment Center, located in Parmer LL 010.  For more information, please call 708-524-6786.
