Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Parent Guide
Welcome from the Division of Student Affairs
At Embry-Riddle, we understand the vital role parents play in the success of their sons and daughters. We also know that the college years are an exciting time filled with change, growth and, sometimes, uncertainty. We want you to know that we’re here to serve you, just as we’re here to serve and support the students on our campus every day.
The entire Embry-Riddle community is committed to providing our students with a caring, supportive, and cooperative learning environment. We strive to challenge students academically, socially, physically, and emotionally.
The role of Student Affairs is to complement the total academic mission by offering quality programs and services. The staff promotes a student development philosophy that stresses the holistic approach to co-curricular involvement.
Participating in activities outside the classroom such as student organizations, volunteer services, recreational activities, and student government, facilitates a sense of belonging, creates new and lasting friendships, and helps prepare students for future careers.
It is our goal to graduate students who are educated, enlightened, productive, and empowered in their college, career, and community.
The Dean of Students Office provides oversight and support to these departments within the Division of Student Affairs:
