At Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, what we do - and do best - is teach the science, practice, safety, security and business world of aviation and aerospace and related disciplines.

Since it was founded just 22 years after the Wright brothers’ first flight, the University and its graduates have built an enviable record of achievement in every aspect of aviation and aerospace.

The curriculum at Embry-Riddle covers the operation, engineering, research, manufacturing, marketing, and management of modern aircraft and the systems that support them. The University engages in extensive research, consulting, and related activities that address the unique needs of aviation, aerospace, and related industries. Residential campuses in Prescott, Arizona and Daytona Beach, Florida, provide education in a traditional setting, while the Worldwide Campus provides instruction through more than 130 centers in the United States, Europe, Canada, and the Middle East and through online learning.

The Prescott campus is located near Love Field airport. The clear Arizona skies make ideal flight training conditions.  The location between Phoenix, San Diego and Las Vegas offers professional development opportunities with co-ops and internships and also a chance to get away for a weekend.  The 539-acre campus serves more than 1,700 undergraduate and graduate students. The campus offers state-of-the-art facilities, including the AXFAB (Aerospace Experimentation and Fabrication Building), where the focus is for students to build and test aircrafts, the Robertson Aircraft Accident Investigation Lab, where nine aircraft accident scenes have been carefully reconstructed for students’ study and analysis.

There is a close-knit residential atmosphere; nearly 850 students live in three different on-campus residence hall communities that offer both traditional rooms and apartment-style suites. Freshmen are required to live on campus. Most students take advantage of on-campus dining facilities and a variety of meal plan options.

There are more than 90 student clubs and organizations, including professional associations, fraternities and sororities, specialty clubs, and intramural sports. The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) men’s soccer and wrestling teams, and the NAIA women’s soccer and volleyball teams compete both regionally and nationally.
