Competitive Spirit

In addition to our athletic program, our students compete for various titles and recognitions nationally. Among them, Phi Beta Lambda, the business club, has consistently swept top honors in statewide competition. The Underwater Robotics club recently took home a first place honor in the National Underwater Robotics Challenge. The Golden Eagles precision flight team has consistently ranked among the top in the country in the Safety and Flight Evaluation Conference (SAFECON) competitions and has captured the national championship title seven times. Female flight students also have a special opportunity to represent the campus in the Air Race Classic, a transcontinental race for women that dates back to 1929.
