What does my housing fee include?

All of our rooms are fully climate controlled and include all utilities, wireless high-speed internet access, cable television access and local phone access.  In addition, we provide each student with a bed & mattress (twin x-long mattress 36”x80”), closet space, dresser, desk, chair, and window coverings.   Each living unit has a mini refrigerator, full size refrigerator or a ¾ refrigerator to be shared with others in the living space.  The housing fee also includes access to staff 24 hours a day, seven days a week and special programming developed just for the students living on campus.

What is an Eagle Card?

The Eagle card serves as student identification, an access key to residence halls, labs and meal plans, a campus debit card and library card.  Eagle and flight dollars (accessible only for flight activities) can be deposited up to one month before orientation on student accounts by following the link to “Guest Deposit – ERAU Eagle Card.” Student first and last name, and student ID are required to make deposits.

What athletic programs are available at ERAU for students not interested in intercollegiate athletics?

Intramural and recreational sports are available on campus and create an atmosphere of competition and fun by offering a wide variety of activities. Team sports such as flag football, volleyball, basketball, dodgeball, indoor and outdoor soccer are offered as league play. Other sports such as table tennis, racquetball, tennis, ultimate frisbee and disk golf are offered as small tournament play. Other sports are also available on request.  The director assists chartered clubs and organizations with the use of sports facilities and equipment. Students are encouraged to use all on-campus sports-related facilities (outdoor swimming pool, tennis and racquetball courts, gymnasium, and fitness center).  In addition to on-campus recreational activities, the Prescott area offers a variety of outdoor recreational opportunities. Hiking, camping, fishing, sailing, and skiing are a few of the activities available in the surrounding area.

Is the campus patrolled 24 hours?

Yes.  The Safety Department patrols and services the campus 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

What if I want information concerning my student’s records (i.e.  grade reports, judicial actions) released?

FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) prevents any educational institution from releasing information without prior authorization from the student.  Students who want information from their records released to parents or any other designee, must submit a signed Student Request to Share Information form.  This form may be obtained at the Records office.

Are cars allowed on campus?

Yes, students may choose to bring a car or motorcycle to campus and will be required to register their vehicle and obtain a parking permit from Campus Safety.  Bicycles and skateboards are also popular choices for getting around, but not allowed on the interior of campus for pedestrian safety on sidewalks.

How can I send “snail” mail to my student?

Every student, including those living off campus, is required to have a mailbox to receive personal and University mail.  It is the responsibility of each student to check his/her campus mailbox daily.  Official correspondence from the University is considered delivered once it is placed in a student’s mailbox.
