Felician College Parent and Family Guide
Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF)
The Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) program is designed to provide an opportunity for higher education for New Jersey residents, who are found to be economically and academically disadvantaged.
All incoming freshmen must attend a mandatory six-week summer program prior to their first year in college. The summer program is designed to help students adjust to the college. During the summer program students review math and English basic skills.
The purpose of the summer program is to acclimate the students to college life along with brushing up on their basic skill in math and English. All incoming freshmen must successfully complete the EOF summer program before they can register for the fall semester.
EOF also offers great advantages such as: an extra grant towards tuition, additional tutoring for classes and an opportunity to get to know future classmates before the semester begins.
The EOF program is here to help those students who genuinely show a desire to further their education despite poor high school preparation and financial hardships. EOF is not just a “program” but a family and we look forward to welcoming you into the EOF family here at Felician College.
For any questions that you may have, please don’t hesitate to contact the EOF office at (201) 559-6054.
