Bachelors of Arts and Bachelors of Science. Degrees conferred to students once they have completed all requirements set forth by their respective colleges.
Blackboard (Bb)
A web-based course management system. Students use this to submit homework and papers, check financial information, grades, etc. It also provides support for teachers, registered student organizations, and access to e-mail accounts.
Club Strozier
Strozier Library, FSU’s main library and the only one open twenty-four hours on campus.

Graduation. Held three times a year at the end of the spring, summer and fall academic terms.
Crenshaw
Crenshaw Lanes, located in the Oglesby Union Ballroom. Crenshaw Lanes was built in 1964 and has 12 bowling alley’s and 10 full sized billiard tables. Crenshaw hosts many events that students and university groups can enjoy by participating in their bowling leagues, billiards tournaments, intramurals, parties, cosmic bowling, late night programming, and bowling.
Diner
Park Avenue Diner located on the corner of Woodward Avenue and Traditions Way. It is a full service 24-hour restaurant on campus with a 50s theme.

FSUCard
Student’s card that allows them access into buildings, linked to bank accounts, and admission to FSU sporting events. On the card is a smart chip that allows students to store pre-paid value. Money can be added in increments of $1, $5, $10, or $20 at any of the fifty Cash-to-Chip machines around campus. Students can use their FSU card at vending machines such as drink and snack machines, photocopiers, and laundry machines.
FSUID
First part of student’s FSU e-mail address and is used to long onto secure FSU websites.
FSUSN
It is the new form of identification for students that is assigned by the University to students so that their social security number does not have to be used.
FYE
First Year Experience, part of the Office of New Student and Family Programs. It is a class offered during a student’s first semester at FSU that will give he/she insights to different programs and opportunities that Florida State has to offer. Garnet Bucks
Can be used to purchase food at the student union, food court, and other on campus food and beverage facilities. Garnet Bucks are a great way to budget your food money while eating at any Seminole Dining location. Put any amount of money into your Garnet Bucks account, which is accessed through your FSU ID card, and don't worry about not having money for food ever again! Your money rolls throughout the years until you graduate!

Heritage Tower
Heritage Tower was a gift of the classes of 1946, 1947, and 1948 in honor of the 1947 transition from Florida State College for Women to Florida State University. This majestic brick fountain stands between Doak Campbell Stadium and the FSU Flying High Circus.

IFC
Interfraternity Council, men’s fraternities. There are 19 Interfraternity Fraternities on FSU’s campus.
IM’s
Intramural Sports, part of Campus Recreation. A variety of sports open to all FSU students at no charge. A few of the available intramural sports for students to participate in are flag football, soccer, dodge ball, basketball, and softball.
Integration Statue
"Integration" honors three African-American students who led the integration of Florida State University in the 1960's: Maxwell Courtney, the first African-American to graduate from FSU; Fred Flowers, the first African-American to wear an FSU athletic uniform; and Doby Flowers, FSU's first African-American homecoming princess.
Jennie
Jennie Murphree Hall, all women’s Residence Hall. Jennie Murphree Hall was named in honor of the wife of the first president of Florida State College for Women, Dr. Albert A. Murphree. The building was constructed in 1922, and in 1924, the west wing was extended to accommodate a growing student population. In 1992, Jennie Murphree Hall underwent a major exterior restoration and interior remodeling.
Legacy Tower
The Legacy tower gracing the center of Landis Green commemorates the transition from Florida State College for Women to Florida State University. Six bronze figures created by Tallahassee sculptor and FSU alumnus Edward Jonas represent students from both eras, with a wall of water in the center representing the passage of time.
Legacy Walk
The FSU Legacy Walk is a historical tour of campus focusing on its architecture, sculpture, and green spaces. Bands of brick and Legacy Walk symbols guide visitors along the paths. Raised brick podia placed along the walk provide information about people and events in FSU's history.
MGC
Multicultural Greek Council – There are 7 Multicultural Greek Organizations on FSU’s campus.
Moore
Moore Auditorium, located in Ogelsby Union.
NPHC
National Pan-Hellenic Council, historically black fraternities and sororities. There are currently 8 organizations on the National Pan-Hellenic Council at FSU.
Orientation Office
It is part of the New Student and Family Programs Office. Its focus is primarily to welcome students and families into the university and making that transition as smooth as possible. For more information regarding the orientation, call (850) 644-2785.
PH
Panhellenic Association, Women’s sororities. There are currently 15 Panhellenic Sororities on FSU’s campus.
Rez
The Florida State University Reservation is a one of a kind facility that allows students to broaden their outdoor activities. The Reservation is located by a lake that allows students to canoe, play beach volleyball, and kayak. Students can also participate in the ropes courses and attempt the climbing wall. Students are admitted free into the Reservation with their FSU card.
RSO
Registered Student Organization. There are a total of over 400 registered student organizations that students can become involved in at Florida State. If you can’t find one for your- create your own!
Seminole Sensation Week
Takes place during before the first week of school, allowing for new students and returning students to enjoy their time by listening to concerts, movies, and participating in different events that encourages students to network with each other. SLC
Askew Student Life Center, which is located on Tradition Way, is where the on-campus movie theater is located. The theater can sit 380 people. Students can watch movies for free at the movie theater with their FSU card.
Sportsmanship Statue
The bronze sculpture "Sportsmanship" honors Al Strum, an accomplished athlete whose remarkable sports achievements and fiercely competitive spirit were always exceeded by his reputation for grace and sportsmanship. Strum's daughter Maggie was FSU's first head cheerleader.

Student Services Building is located next to the Park Avenue Diner. The Student Services Building includes the Sponsor Center, Student Disability and Resource Center.
Symbol
The Seminoles, Osceola and Renegade. The Florida State Seminoles was given its name in 1947, voted by the student body. Florida State took upon the name with pride so that the Seminole Tribe will be honored. The members of the Seminole tribe of Florida are referred to as the "few hundred unconquered Seminole men, women and children left — all hiding in the swamps and Everglades of South Florida."

Unconquered Statue
The bronze horse and rider entitled "Unconquered" celebrates the legacy left to FSU by the Seminole people - a spirit of courage, integrity, strength, and determination that inspires all FSU students today. The spear is lit at sunset the night before each home game and it burns until sunrise on the morning after the game.
War Chant
Chopping hand motion that students use to help encourage other students and express Seminole Pride during campus events.
