The goal of the Parents Program - which includes all family members of Georgia Tech students - is to ultimately support student success.
The Parents Program facilitates two-way communication between parents and the Institute, hosts events such as Family Weekend, and provides opportunities for parental involvement and advocacy.
Good communication with parents is vital to providing the highest quality student experience at Georgia Tech. The Parents Program serves as a communication link between parents of students and the Institute. Services and programs are open to all parents and/or guardians of students at no charge. We encourage parents to opt-in to communications from the Parents Program and the Institute by creating a Stay Connected GT Account. Visit the Georgia Tech Parents Program website
, and select the "Stay Connected" link. This will ensure you receive timely communications including our monthly e-newsletter ParentNews.
Georgia Tech offers many opportunities for parents of Tech students to be actively involved on and off campus through volunteering. Parent volunteers are valuable in interacting with parents of prospective students by offering advice and support. Volunteer opportunities are announced in each edition of ParentNews and are posted regularly on the Parents Program website
The Parents Program continues to develop opportunities for parents outside of the metro Atlanta area to connect with Georgia Tech representatives and to other Tech parents. If you are interested in getting involved with Georgia Tech activities in your area, please be sure to read ParentNews for a variety of opportunities!
Parents Advisory Board
The Parents Advisory Board focuses on providing feedback to the Division of Student Affairs, encouraging interaction between parents and the Institute, supporting parent and student programming, and championing special projects.
One of the many missions of the Division of Student Affairs and the Parents Program is to enrich the educational experience for students by providing programs, facilities, and services that guide, support, inform, and challenge students to grow and succeed intellectually and personally. With your contributions, we can continue to support existing programs and student services as well as expand the reach and quality of opportunities for our students.
