Writing Center
IIT's Writing Center is supported by the Communication Across the Curriculum (CAC) program and the Lewis Department of Humanities. The Writing Center offers one-on-one assistance, by appointment, to help students with the writing process. Using the Writing Center will help students learn to interpret the assignment, gather information, analyze and organize language, as well as, address grammar and punctuation.
CAC writing consultants provide individual conferences for writing assignments in engineering and science courses, particularly:
- Introduction to the Profession (ITP)
- C-Course (writing intensive)
- IPRO
The Writing Center Director and an additional writing consultant provide help with writing assignments for both graduate and undergraduate students. These services are especially geared toward assisting students for whom English is a second language.
