Indiana Tech is a private, non-denominational university, providing learners of all ages with a career-focused, professional education in the areas of business, computer sciences, engineering, criminal sciences, and general studies.

Indiana Tech strives to prepare students for active participation in the complex, global society of the 21st century, and we motivate them toward a life of significance and worth.

We pride ourselves on making relationship based education available to all of our students, which is reflected by our faculty-student ratio of 19:1. A number of students are from various states and countries, which creates diversity within the classroom, expanding students’ minds and challenging them to grow beyond the culture they know.

Registration

Registration dates are indicated in the academic calendar and schedule of classes. All students are expected to register for classes on the dates listed. Students receive assistance from advisors in planning and approving their schedules each semester. A student may make necessary adjustments in a schedule during the first five (5) days of the semester, after which enrollment records become official. In order to add or drop a course, the student must first obtain the approval of his or her advisor. To transfer from one section of a class to another requires the approval of the dean of the college offering the course. All forms approving these changes must be submitted to the registrar’s office before they become official.

Tuition adjustments will not be made nor will tuition be refunded for any individual course dropped after the expiration of the drop/add date. Withdrawal forms must be filed with the student’s advisor promptly; otherwise, the withdrawal will not be considered official. The refund policy does not apply to any student who is dismissed from the university because of misconduct.

The Office of the Registrar is responsible for official academic and enrollment records and is the source for:

  • University class schedules
  • Student class schedules
  • Transcripts
  • Enrollment verification
  • GPA verification
  • Diplomas
  • Grades (available three weeks after final exams)

Indiana Tech complies fully with The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974. This was enacted to protect the privacy of educational records, establish the right of students to inspect and review their education records, and to provide guidelines for the correction of inaccurate or misleading statements. Students may request that Indiana Tech withhold the release of directory information by notifying the registrar’s office in writing.
