Strategic Security and Safety

The Department of Public Safety exists to ensure that Kennesaw State University is a safe and secure community, conducive to the free exchange of ideas within an academic setting. We maintain a proactive, high-profile patrol regimen on the Campus, leveraging a “hybrid” force of state-certified police and security officers. Services include: Assisting motorists and providing escorts to cars, presenting educational safety programs, performing criminal investigations and providing 24 hour-a-day, 7 day-a-week service. Happily, crime and criminality are both rarities at KSU. In fact, we are among the safest campuses in the University System of Georgia. The Department strives to prevent crime and disorder, rather than simply reacting to reports of crimes after they have already occurred.
