Culinary Services
There are several campus dining options for your students’ convenience, including a to-go option in our state of the art, LEED™-Gold Certified dining hall, The Commons. We offer a late-night dining at The Hoot, located in the University Village. You will be familiar with several of our nationally-branded retail venues, which are located across campus.
The Commons – Student Culinary Center
Centrally located between Central Parking Deck and Campus Green, adjacent to the Student Center, HSB, and Burruss Building, The Commons is the main dining hall on campus, housing nine unique venues:
The Campus Green
Enjoy a variety of specialty and customizable salads with multiple fresh-cooked protein options (fish, chicken, steak, and tofu). Vegan and vegetarian options available daily.
Dan’s Deli
Come grab a ready-made sandwich, wrap, or Panini, or customize your own! The deli staff is always ready to make a delicious sandwich or wrap just the way you like it. Also features three soups daily, all of which are made in-house for maximum freshness and flavor. Gluten-free options available upon request.
Wok Your Way
Features a variety of Asian-inspired entrées and sides. Enjoy items such as fresh steamed edamame, orange chicken, sushi Fridays, and spicy Thai tofu and noodles.
Hwy 41 Grille
Inspired by the neon of the drive-ins and diners of the 1950’s, the Hwy 41 Grille features such favorites as cheeseburgers, curly fries, grilled cheese sandwiches, chicken tenders, and real hand-spun milkshakes. Veggie burgers available upon request.
Stone Mill Bakery
After you’ve enjoyed your meal, stop by the bakery and enjoy a variety of desserts made in our on-site bakery. Or, if you’re stopping in for breakfast, enjoy some of the featured fresh pastries and house-made bagels.
The Grind Coffee Co.
If you’re craving a cup of coffee or tea, make sure to check out The Grind, featuring a custom coffee blend made just for KSU. This venue provides a jolt of energy that will last well into even the longest study session. If you’re not the caffeinated kind, choose from one of the many teas or other drinks featured on a daily basis.
Piatti
All your Italian favorites are here: Stromboli, calzones, scratch-made pasta with house-made sauces, and various types of pizza. Piatti also features KSU’s famous garlic knots. Gluten-free options available upon request.
Apron Strings
A mix of mom’s “comfort food” classic recipes served every day, lunch and dinner. Includes menu items like roast beef, fried chicken, green beans, squash casserole, baked tilapia, and glazed baby carrots.
Globetrotter
A revolving door of new and exciting international and regional cuisines including gyros, falafel, lamb, rotisserie chicken, and even curried goat! Each week the menu features cuisine from various regions and countries. Vegetarian or vegan dishes offered daily.
On the Fly
If you’re on the go and don’t have time to sit down for a meal, you can take advantage of this convenient take-out option. With a variety of hot entrees, salads, sandwiches, and frozen entrées, you’ll be able to grab a meal even when your schedule is full.
Chick-fil-A Express
Featuring a variety of your Chick-fil-A favorites, this venue is one of the most popular on campus and is located in the Student Center.
Jazzman’s Café
Conveniently located in the Social Sciences Building, Jazzman’s Café serves a daily variety of coffees, teas, juices, baked goods, sandwiches, and salads.
The Hoot
Located in the terrace level of Building 6000 in the University Village, The Hoot provides students with late-night food options in a sports-themed setting. The Hoot is open seven nights a week from 8:00pm – 1:00am, and now accepts meal plans!
Einstein Bros. Bagels
The central location in the Burruss Building is perfect for grabbing a quick bite on the go or stopping to dine with friends. Einstein Bros. features fresh bagels, spreads, sweets, sandwiches, soups, and salads.
