From our "Nest" to yours! Welcome Kennesaw State University's First Parent & Family Association!

We heard parents loud and clear over the past few years that they wanted KSU to form a Parent & Family Association (PFA) so that they could join and become more involved as a college parent.  Parent and family involvement plays a key role in college choice and in the academic success of students during their college years. The Parent & Family Association works to create, maintain, and promote parental involvement in appropriate aspects of University life. The PFA was something that was desired and designed for our campus through the hard work of staff, faculty and administration.  We are now excited to inform you about our events and most importantly-how to be a member so you can join the fun!  

The PFA is designed to increase our communication with parents and actively involve them in the life of the University. As a member, you will be a part of our community in a way that promotes the success of the student we all care so much about. In return for your membership, you will have access to valuable programs and services designed specifically to keep you informed and involved. You also become eligible for many great benefits.

To fill you in, our mission is to create a parent and family connection to the University in order to create institutional loyalty and affinity in the entire family and to support students at KSU through the development of targeted communication, innovative programs, and opportunities for social interaction.

The Parent and Family Association or PFA, was formed to:

• Create an environment that promotes communication among parents, family, staff, faculty, and students.
• Offer support and assistance for the students, parents and family members through newsletters and other print communication, online social networks such as Facebook, special offers for KSU events, and the PFA website.
• Design innovative programming to enhance parental involvement. These programs would cover topics and issues that parents and family members of KSU may face.
• Create opportunities for parents and families to interact socially through Homecoming activities, Parent and Family Weekend, Move-In Day Welcome, and other special programs.
