Feb 3 - Internationally acclaimed New York Times journalist Mr. Nicholas Kristof will be speaking at KSU on February 3, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. in the Bailey Center. Mr.Kristof, who has won two Pulitzer Prizes for his work on both China and the genocide in Darfur, will present a lecture on his book "Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide" (co-written with his wife Sheryl WuDunn).  Plan to attend this event with your student if you can!

Tickets are now available through KSU Mall at the following URL: www.kennesaw.edu/kristof. The event is free for KSU students, faculty, and staff members, but tickets are required for admission. Please save the date!

Feb 10 - Career 101 Workshop
Your student will learn about interests and skills as they relate to career choices.  This is a awesome opportunity for students to learn more about themselves and possibilities for their future career. Pre-registration is required and space is limited.  Click on the "KSU Mall" link on www.kennesaw.edu and go to "Student Success Services MBTI Testing"; "Career 101 Workshops" and follow the directions.

Feb 11 - Ice Formal! 
If your student lives on campus, makes sure they know about the annual Ice Formal, hosted by the University Village Suites Council.  The event starts at 9pm and will be on the 2nd floor atrium inside University Village Suites.  It will be a fabulous night of dancing in an elegant and icy world of fun!

Feb 17 - Personal Enrichment Workshop Series on "Boundaries", presented by Counseling and Psychological Services at 6:30 in University Village Suites, 2nd floor study room.  Your student can "come and explore when to say yes and when to say no and walk away without feeling guilty."  This is great for setting healthy boundaries with roommates, parents, siblings, partners and others.
