Sending you child off to college can be traumatic for parents. The first time your student calls you and they are sick can re-traumatize you. Please be assured that here at KSU the Health Clinics on campus have the health needs of your student as their top priority and concern.
When your student calls you not feeling well your first question should be, " Have you gone to the clinic to be seen." KSU students all have access to walk-in care Monday through Friday, no appointment needed.

First-Year Student Mandatory Advising and Requirements

Posted in

Parents-does your student know what classes he/she is going to register for next semester? Do they have holds? Do they remember how to register? We are here to help!

Academic advisement is fully underway this semester with students getting ready to register for spring classes. All first-year students are required to meet with an advisor before registration in November. Approximately 2,800 first-year students received a hold on their account for mandatory advisement. This hold will prevent students from registering for classes until they make an appointment for a one-on-one advising session. This hold was put in place so that students will be aware of the classes he/she is eligible to register for next semester. To remove this hold, students can contact either First Year and Undeclared Advising Services (678) 797-2860 or the department of their major.
