Remembering that these young adults have now forged a new path into their future by becoming more independent learning new skills and adopting some new behaviors, I'd like to take a moment to share some thoughts with you. The social life of the college student can look very different from the social life of a high school senior. You might take time to talk to your student over this break about some of the new experiences they have encountered.

We heard parents loud and clear over the past few years that they wanted their own association to assist students in their growth and development during the college years. This was something that was desired for our campus through staff, faculty and administration and now we are excited to let you know we have been approved to start! To fill you in, our mission is to create a parent and family connection to the University in order to create institutional loyalty and affinity in the entire family and to support students at KSU through the development of targeted communication, innovative programs, and opportunities for social interaction.
