As the parent of a student about to go off to college, you probably have a lot of concerns. My daughter Chelsea is currently enrolled at Keystone College. When she was going through the college search process, I had a list of questions a mile long!

I would like to share with you a few things about Keystone College that may ease your mind; I know they helped make our road to college a bit smoother.

  • The personal enrollment advisors at Keystone College will work with you through every step of the pre-enrollment process.
  • Keystone College offers peer and professional tutoring to all students free of charge.
  • Keystone students get real world experience through co-ops and internships. As an education major, my daughter found herself observing real classrooms during her very first semester.
  • Since 90% of Keystone’s incoming freshmen receive financial assistance (including Chelsea) I recommend that you file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible.  Be sure to use Keystone’s college code: 003280.  I found it very convenient to file online.
  • Keystone College offers merit scholarships that range from $3,000 to full tuition!
  • There is a variety of safe, fully staffed on-campus housing.
  • A bus shuttle to several venues in the Scranton area is available free of charge.
  • Public safety officers are available to assist students 24/7.

I hope that I have been able to ease your mind a bit.  If you still have lingering questions, I guarantee that there is someone in the Admissions Office who will be able to help you!

They can be reached at: (877) 4College or Admissions@Keystone.edu.
