Welcome to the family! With your student’s enrollment, you automatically receive membership in the K-State Parents and Family Association (PFA). Serving as a link to the university, other K-State families and to your student, you have the opportunity to participate in a variety of events including Family Day in Cat Town, Open House, orientation and more.

“The Parents and Family Association has given us a chance to stay connected to our children and the K-State family. We love joining with all of the K-State Families at PFA-hosted events and sharing the Wildcat passion,” – Debbie and Bill Miller, PFA Advisory Board members.

PFA provides the perfect balance in keeping up with your student’s life as well as allowing them to make the most of their college experience.

The association is funded solely by private contributions which help to provide:

  • student scholarships
  • emergency fund for students with an unmet financial need that threatens their ability to stay in college
  • orientation and enrollment and K-State Legacy programs
  • alcohol-free programming for students at K-State After Hours
  • campus safety awareness video
  • K-State’s Healthy Decisions (HD)

Although membership is automatic, you, as parents are encouraged to become active members. Volunteers can help in a variety of ways, including serving on the PFA advisory board, representing the association at information booths, involvement at recruitment events and serving as a connection to new K-State families. Don’t wait, sign up to come to Manhattan for a recruiting event and have the opportunity to see your student already in the groove of college!
