K-State Week of Welcome
The Week of Welcome is composed of several events at the beginning of the Fall semester that are designed to help both new and returning Wildcats kick off their academic year on the right foot.
Colleges, departments, academic offices and student organizations host different events throughout the week to enhance your students experience at K-State.
Each day of the week has a theme that helps your student get acclimated to college life.
- We're Glad You're Here Day is the first theme and returning students are stationed around campus to answer any questions or to guide other students to classes.
- K-State Culture day features cultural performances, multi-cultural organizations, ice cream socials and much more.
- Student Success Day highlights the Career and Employment Services center with a BBQ, healthy decisions forum, fashion show, leadership fair and live performances.
- Involvement day focuses on getting students involved on campus. An opportunity fair and activities carnival is held so that students can explore different options on campus.
- Friday Fun Day celebrates the end of your students first week with a block party and a movie.
Week of Welcome is a fun and exciting week that helps get students back into the swing of things, promotes school spirit, and brings students, professors, faculty and friends together as a family. Encourage your student to take full advantage of the activities during the Week of Welcome so that they can explore all that K-State has to offer and make the best of their college experience from the very beginning.
