Greek life at UL Lafayette provides an opportunity for men and women to add a valuable dimension to their college experience while developing close bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood. Twenty-one national sororities and fraternities constitute the Greek system.
All programs and services for their respective groups are coordinated by three governing councils: Panhellenic (NPC), National Pan-Hellenic (NPHC) and Interfraternity Council (IFC).
Greek life promotes the personal development of students with an emphasis on academics, responsible citizenship, community service and the cultivation of cultural, social and leadership skills. Panhellenic sororities and IFC fraternities hold formal recruitment for new membership and NPHC sororities and fraternities hold deferred recruitment.
