Fourteen members of the Parent Association Leadership Team along with 6 new members met on Friday, October 30th during Fall Family Weekend for their semi-annual meeting. The Chairperson, Mr. David Lock outlined the realignment of the Parent Association directly with the Parent and Family Connections Office.
Administration for the parents program has been moved entirely from the Development Division to the Student Affairs Division of Liberty University. Annual dues of $15 per year will be expected from all Leadership Team members. It was decided to have the Leadership Team incorporate a "Praying Parent Focus" program. The Parent and Family Connections Office will work on developing opportunities to increase our group of praying parents for the successful training of our students, our "Champions for Christ." Next meeting is scheduled for Friday, March 5th, 2010 during the Spring Family Fling weekend.
