LU Transit Services

At Liberty we offer one of the most comprehensive transit systems of any university campus in the country. We operate over 140 hours a week within a 10 route system that provides service as frequent as 2 to 3 minutes during peak time to less than a 20 minute across campus commute.

Liberty has partnered with the Greater Lynchburg Transit Company (GLTC) to offer students free transportation within their 15 route city system. So whether your student needs a ride across campus or across town we have them covered.

Additional services include:

• U-Pass - allows students to access GLTC anywhere anytime using their student ID card.
• Carpooling - available to all commuter students; visit website for more info.
• Park & Ride - LU has off campus parking lots available with bus service every 30 minutes.
• Guaranteed Ride Home - Students in the carpooling program receive a free pass that guarantee's a student in Lynchburg a ride home.
• Break Shuttle Service - During all breaks LU offers a shuttle service to and from the Lynchburg airport, train, and bus stations as well as scheduled departure times for the Roanoke airport.
