Marymount's Center for Career Services provides comprehensive career discovery, planning and decision-making assistance to Marymount students and alumni to foster their professional development and long-term career satisfaction and success. The Center for Career Services provides a variety of services, including individual career counseling, group workshops, and job and internship search support. The Center for Career Services also sponsors a number of major career-related events throughout the academic year.
The Internship Program

All undergraduate students at Marymount are required to complete an internship during their junior or senior year. The internship is a structured work experience, supervised by a faculty member, that allows students to apply knowledge and skills learned in the classroom to concrete, real-world situations. While enrolled in their internship, students explore career interests; improve their understanding of the responsibilities required in a profession, apply critical thinking, oral and written communication, and teamwork skills in an organizational setting; and network with professionals in their areas of interest.

The Washington metropolitan area offers Marymount students and abundance of potential internship sites. Students regularly complete their internships with nearby federal agencies, international corporations, national parks and museums, high tech corporations, and non-governmental organizations.
