Each fall, before Thanksgiving, the University holds early Registration for the following spring semester. Early registration for the Spring 2010 semester will be held Monday, November 9 - Friday, November 20, 2009!

Registration appointments will be available on myUM on Monday, October 26, 2009

All students will be able to register on-line through their myUM accounts. Each school has established guidelines for on-line registration; the guidelines can be found in myUM under the Registration section. Below is a checklist that gives students a great overview of what they need to do before registering for classes.

  • Has your student checked his or her ACE to see what courses he or she still needs to take?
  • Has your student checked myUM to see when his or her registration appointment has been scheduled?
  • Has your student checked myUM to see what courses are being offered?
  • Has your student made a list of courses he or she wants to take? Have him or her review the sections/times when putting your list together.
  • Has your student met with his or her advisor?
  • Does your student have alternate courses or sections (approved by his or her advisor) in case his or her preferred course is full or not available?
  • Has your student checked myUM to see if any of his or her preferred courses/sections are full? (These may change on a daily basis. Keep checking.)

Even though early registration officially ends on November 20th, changes to student schedules can be made up through the first week of class in January.
