Student Spotlight: Mindy Millikan

My mom expects me to be a lot more independent now that I'm away at college, and take care of most everything for myself. Sometimes that causes strain between us, since I often am busy with class, work, and activities and don't always answer the phone. When I was still at home, we used to argue all the time; now we barely have time to say hello, and don't see each other enough to have anything to fight about.  I hardly ever go home, but if my family has the opportunity to come see me, they've taken it. Luckily my mom is a fan of text messaging and Facebook, so I have more ways to keep in contact!
