Welcome from the Missouri State University Family Association
At Missouri State University, we communicate to students that we expect our University to be a place where students are challenged to excel in and out of the classroom. We also convey that students should expect assistance, support, and guidance during their college experience.
The encouragement and resources to assist our students at Missouri State come from a partnership of many individuals who are focused upon student success—faculty, staff, and student leaders.
We invite you, as your student’s parents and family members, to join us in this partnership. You play a critical role in your student’s success; students regularly report that the most significant support and encouragement they receive comes from their parents and families, and parental involvement positively influences a student’s likelihood of graduating.
As a parent or family member, you may also need support while your student is attending college. The Family Association aims to offer you this support by providing regular communications about campus events and tips for encouraging your student’s success, serving as a point of contact for questions you may have, and offering fun campus events in which students and their families can participate together. Please become a member of the Family Association.
We genuinely want all parents and family members to be a part of the Missouri State experience. We encourage coming to campus during Family Weekend activities, homecoming, the annual Public Affairs Conference, division I athletic contests, cultural events, and any of the hundreds
of other exciting and enjoyable events that occur on campus throughout the year.
